Go Big Time

I was craving for an ice cream a while ago but there's nothing in the freezer. No left-over from the previous days. I thought of having a sundae, that will do. As if on cue, my daughter asked if we could have a delivery. She wants a quarter pounder. The next step was to dial-McDo.

I posted several months ago that I find the script of most food chains for their delivery customer service representatives a little off or funny. At least McDonald's have refined their spiel. They ask for the telephone number right away and your name and ask if the delivery is for the same address registered in their data base. Good. Swift transaction.

Of all the delivery services I had the past weeks, only McDonald's asked if I have their Go Big Time coupon, their promo for the month of May. The other food chains don't even mention what their latest offerings are. They're missing on a big marketing opportunity. At least here I was able to save a few bucks upsizing our drinks and our fries. And I have an impromptu entry for the Photo Hunt theme - Time. Go big time is it. :)

No, this is not a paid post from McDonald's. I just appreciate the professional service they are giving, even the representatives I've encountered at the other end of the line sound so well trained.

  10. The funny thing with Mickey D is how low class it can seem in parts of the USA and how much more classy, efficient, etc. it is in other parts of the world. E.g., Malaysia's another place where McDonalds delivers and Hong Kong has lots of 24 hour McDonalds... though having said that, I go far less to McDonalds in Hong Kong than in the US or Malaysia.

  11. cheeseburger meal please!
McDo has the best fries and milkshake among all fastfood chains.

btw, my office is along quezon ave (near McDo) but i'm not one of the girls or trannies standing on the sidewalk at night. hahahaha.

  12. What a concept, McDonald's to the door. Me too, I've never heard of it. The only delivery I've received is to the car after having to wait on my order.

Thanks for visiting my time post. - Margy

  17. The only McDo I like is the breakfast burrito. I'm not a fan of fast foods.

  18. The children's favorite place to go. Be careful with the quarter pounder though, that was what I ate when I had a tummy ache and learned about my gallstones.

Still love McDonald's even if that happened though I don't eat the burgers anymore.

    Miss you, Lynn :)
